Mark S. Seeley was born in 1960, the son of John and Alice, and the younger brother of Doug.
Mark knew at an early age that he had a talent for writting, which he put to use by creating newspapers for both his school and Little League. He gave serious thought to majoring in Journalism, but decided he would prefer to be in the action instead of simply reporting it. It was a decision that would lead to the following of another of his strong passions: Politcal Science. Mark received his degree from BSU in 1984.
He continued to write articles over the next few years, mainly for The Boise Weekly and The Idaho Statesman. In keeping with his political passion, Mark ran for Boise City Council on a bare bones budget as a one-issue candidate. His campaign spoke out on homelessness, successfully getting his message across and bringing in 22% of the vote.
Mark married late in life, to a woman he orginally met at the BSU dorms in 1982. Twenty two years later, fate renewed their friendship and he married Laura on Feb. 17, 2007.
